The Southeast Asia One Health University Network (SEAOHUN) was established in December 2011.  The Network is comprised of faculties from ten Southeast Asia universitiesand two US Universities who came together to establish the Network.  Those Universities are:  Institut Pertanian Bogor, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Indonesia, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Chiang Mai University, Mahidol University, Hanoi Medical University, Hanoi School of Public Health, and Hanoi University of Agriculture. The US Universities are University of Minnesota and Tufts University and

In 2013 the Executive Board of SEAOHUN agreed to establish a foundation to support and assure the long term sustainability of the Network.  To ensure a close working relationship between the Network and the Foundation, the Network Executive Board determined that one Executive Board Member from each member country will sit in the Foundation as Board of Directors.  The inaugural meeting of the SEAOHUN foundation was held September 16, 2013.

Since May 2015, the SEAOHUN Secretariat has been appointed to directly support the work of the SEAOHUN Foundation. The SEAOHUN Secretariat is based in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
