SEAOHUN Foundation By-Laws

Governed by SEAOHUN by-laws and the laws of the Government of Thailand, SEAOHUN is an independent non-profit organization registered as a Foundation under Thai law.

SEAOHUN Foundation Board of Directors

SEAOHUN Foundation Board of Directors comprises chair and members from four countries. The current members are:

SEAOHUN Secretariat

The SEAOHUN Secretariat has been appointed since May 2015 to directly support the work of the SEAOHUN Foundation. The SEAOHUN Secretariat is based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. 

 

SEAOHUN Executive Board

FUNCTION:

The Executive Board is the governing body of SEAOHUN with all powers, through the Foundation Board of Directors, of governing, directing and overseeing the management and affairs of the network. In accordance with the mission of SEAOHUN, the Executive Board shall have the authority and responsibility to:

  • Set policies that promote equal partnership among all Universities
  • Develop strategies for accomplishing the mission of SEAOHUN
  • Facilitate the commitment and ownership, trust building, solidarity and collective   action within the network
  • Invite stakeholder participation in the network
  • Form committees or working groups as needed to address the needs of the network over time
  • Identify resources for SEAOHUN to enable implementation of strategy and sustainability of the Network
  • Share the responsibility and establish the criteria for mobilizing resources necessary for full functioning of SEAOHUN
  • Carry out all other actions specified in these Bylaws and those that relate to the mission of SEAOHUN

MEMBERSHIP AND COMPOSITION:

The Executive Board shall be comprised of the following:

  • Members of the Executive Board. One representative of each of the SEAOHUN founding Universities shall serve as a member of the Executive Board
  • Associate Members of the Executive Board. One representative of non-SEA universities shall serve on the Executive Board as Associate Members. Associate Members may participate fully in SEAOHUN discussions as non-voting members of the Executive Board
  • Observers.  The Executive Board may invite individuals of representatives of Cooperating Partners to participate as Observers of Executive Board activities. The Executive Board shall determine the number of Observers it wishes to invite.
