SEAOHUN Fellowship Program in partnership with LAOHUN and FAOLA

In March 2021, SEAOHUN launched a Fellowship Program in partnership with LAOHUN and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations representation in Lao PDR (FAOLA). The program helps young and mid-career professionals from relevant sectors gain experience in implementing One Health approach at leading organizations working on One Health issues.

Dr. Ketkesone Phrasisombath, Public Health Specialist and Researcher from the University of Health Sciences in Vientiane, became the first fellow to be hosted by FAOLA. During his 5-months assignment, he will contribute to the ongoing efforts of FAOLA to improve the country’s multi-lateral collaboration among animal health and other One Health partners, including public health, wildlife and private sectors, and academia.
